Singolare è il Venerdì Santo di Pietraperzia. Questo è il giorno del contatto fisico col Cristo. Ad iniziare dal primo pomeriggio i fedeli fanno visita all Chiesa del Carmine. Qui ogni fedele mette al braccio un nastro rosso dopo che questo è stato "misurato" sul corpo del Cristo, cioè dopo essere stato strofinato sul crocifisso che andrà poi sistemato sopra la sfera de "lu Signuri di li fasci". La preparazione di questo avviene nella piazza antistante la chiesa ed è formato da una lunga asta di legno, detto albero, con un cerchio sulla sommità, sul quale vengono annodate le fasce. Le Fasce, portate dai fedeli in segno di voto, sono lunghe 36 metri e larghe 40 centimetri. Sono di lino e spesso bordate di merletti. Alcune sono anche antiche. L'operazione di preparazione è molto laboriosa e dura parecchie ore. Come detto a questa macchina viene fissata una sfera di vetri multicolori e sopra di questa il crocifisso. A questo punto "u Signuri di li fasci" viene issato mostrando a tutti la sua spettacolarità. Quindi viene portato per le vie del paese. A Pietraperzia i "laudanti" hanno una forte rappresentanza. Questi cantori, spesso anziani contadini, cantano le "lamentanze". Canti polifonici con i quali si racconta la Passione di Cristo, seguendo testi tramandati oralmente da padre in figlio.
