| Andando impreparati a San Fratello in occasione del Venerdì Santo potremmo legittimamente pensare di essere a Carnevale. Una strana agitazione percorre il paese. Strane coloratissime maschere percorrono il paese, saltano, corrono, fanno baccano: questi sono i Giudei. Per lo più contadini e pastori che vestendo particolari vestiti si fingono uccisori di Cristo. La singolare "divisa" è molto personalizzata specie nel copricapo che viene ornato da scritte che non hanno a che fare con la sacralità della giornata, come ad esempio: "W le donne", "Ti amo" e "W la Giudea". Del costume fa spesso parte una coda di cavallo o di coniglio.
